It is an undeniable fact that self-confidence plays an extremely important role in one's ability to become successful in any part of life. One thing you probably don't know about self-confidence is that it is very sensitive to our personal experience. This means that low self-confidence tends to get lower and high self-confidence tends to get higher, like a "snowball effect".
Positive Snowball Effect/Cycle:
- Step 1: Because you have self-confidence, you are more likely to try out new things.
- Step 2: When you try new things with confidence in yourself, the chances of you succeed are high.
- Step 3: The more you succeed the more self-confidence you develop.
This cycle repeats itself. As a result, due to positive snowball effect, your self-confidence tends to get higher.
Negative Snowball Effect/Cycle:
- Step 1: Because you have low self-confidence, you are less likely to try out new things.
- Step 2: When you finally try out new things, due to the lack of self-confidence, the chances of you succeed are low.
- Step 3: The more you fail (lack of success) the more self-confidence you kill.
