Israel calls Amnesty report biased

JERUSALEM (JTA) -- Amnesty International was manipulated by Hamas in its report that accused Israel of committing war crimes during its Gaza military operation, the Israeli army said.

"We find it both questionable and objectionable that a well-respected and ostensibly objective international organization such as Amnesty could produce a report on Operation Cast Lead without properly recognizing the unbearable reality of nine years of incessant and indiscriminate rocket fire on the citizens of Israel," read a statement released from the office of the spokesman of the Israel Defense Forces. "The slant of their report indicates that the organization succumbed to the manipulations of the Hamas terror organization."

The report released Thursday accused Israeli military forces of using civilians, including children, as human shields and conducting random attacks on civilians during the operation in December and January.

The IDF spokesman said that "the IDF utilized various fighting methods and advanced technology to minimize harm to the civilian population, while engaging terrorists who were operating from densely populated areas and using the local population as a human shield.” It noted that the IDF allowed for a daily humanitarian cease-fire to allow food and medical supplies to enter the coastal strip.

Amnesty International in its report said it did not find any evidence that Hamas used civilians as human shields. But in a small section of the 117-page report, it said that the rocket attacks from Gaza against Israel "constitute war crimes."

We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. T hat will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU, and abortion clinics. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell...

We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks, and war protesters When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N., but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is20a luxury and not a right. We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.

We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. Second, I want to say Congratulations to the Victory of being able to give the Badge of Freedom to the Iraqi people! The Blood & Service that you have completed so far from home is deeply appreciated...thank you! Your service has given the people of that land an opportunity to land own their feet and enjoy life as a Free Nation under a Democracy!

Opportunities for Independence

The legislative part (Congress) to be managed by a select number chosen from the whole body, who are supposed to have the same concerns at stake which those have who appointed them, and who will act in the same manner as the whole body would act were they present.

The ELECTED (President, Senators and Representatives)might never form to themselves an interest separate from the ELECTORS (Citizens of The United States of America); prudence will point out the propriety of having elections often; because as the ELECTED might by that means return and mix again with the general body of the ELECTORS. Their fidelity to the public will be secured by the prudent reflexion of not making a rod (POWER or AUTHORITY: tyrannical or oppressive power) for themselves. And as this frequent interchange will establish a common interest with every part of the community, they will mutually and naturally support each other!

All of the points above depend & define the STRENGTH OF GOVERNMENT, AND THE HAPPINESS OF THE GOVERNED.

The Elected Individuals that are in Washington, DC currently are not representing the same concerns of the Electors in the United States of America. Since November of last year we have given money to many industries that have mismanaged their financial strength in the market place. They include banks, insurance groups, car companies & housing loan companies! WE trusted the Federal Reserve to do its job of monitoring and governing…which they failed to do and because of that failure we appoint CZAR’s and give the Federal Reserve more power…Quality Troubleshooting would say to discipline the child not reward the child!!! Now we are in the process of putting a bill into place that will be the biggest nightmare for business ventures in this country and also for the individual consumer at a time that the financial strength is at one of the weakest points in history. Also, Obama intends to put through a Healthcare Bill, that if passes, will introduce our society into the path of Socialism!

As a member of this society that has lost two jobs since 2007 out of my 24 years working in this country…I find it horrific that this President is driving more jobs overseas in this environment! Both of the jobs that I lost were because the Printed Circuit Board Manufactures could not compete with overseas labor costs and thus had to reduce plants of operational footprint within the USA. The two bills referenced above (Cap & Trade_Tax / Healthcare) will make the industries within the states look harder at ways to pay for the additional costs and thus the easiest way to trim is to trim labor…hence more unemployment within this country!!

Pushing through agendas that will hurt this country and the citizens within it is horrid! All members of Government that support the above ACTIONS OF INAPPROPRIATE SPENDING & BACKING are PINHEADS not PATRIOTS of this United States of America!

Keep in mind PINHEADS that the 2010 & 2012 Elections are coming…enjoy your spending and destruction because if GOD is willing your positions within this Government is on a short timetable!!!
